I have been fencing at Chilwell Blades Fencing Club since 1999, and am now Club Captain as well as one of the coaches. The club runs beginners' courses a couple of times a year and welcomes experienced fencers at any time. See the website for full details.
Mini Swashbucklers is run by a friend of mine, David Beck. He offers fencing parties for groups of up to 20 children (7-11 years old). David uses Leon Paul's Mini-Fence foam and plastic swords and plastic masks to give children a safe, fun introduction to the sport.
British Fencing is the national governing body for fencing in the UK, and their website includes fencing news and details of competitions in the UK and abroad. There is also a list of equipment suppliers here.
